Curriculum
Under The Yoga Tree teachers are trained in the Yoga Ed curriculum, which meets Hawaii State and National PE and standards. The Yoga Ed curriculum was designed to lay a foundation for a lifetime of health and wellness. The Program Evaluation and Research Collaborative (PERC) found that students who participated in Yoga Ed experienced improved self-esteem, physical fitness and academic achievement.
Yoga Ed. Pre-K through High school Curriculum:
These 36-week curriculums (Grades These Pre-K, K-8, and 9-12) are designed to help students learn how to move gracefully, breathe smoothly and deeply, and sustain their focus and concentration. Young students develop strength, flexibility, balance, mental clarity, and emotional stability.
Yoga Ed. Tools for Teachers Curriculum:
This program empowers school teachers, even those new to yoga, to teach simple yoga-based exercises to their students. The techniques are designed for the classroom, require no extra space or equipment, and can help enhance focus, concentration, creativity, communication and discipline.
